The old man recalls a time when he was a young man and mixed up with UFOs, aliens, and more down to earth demons.
Shame an awful R&B song came out not long after with the same title. I've always had an interest in UFOs, mainly due to my dad claiming to see one up close once. I promised him I'd write a UFO story, but I doubt this is what he had in mind. Inspired by a half-page 'true account' from a trashy UFO book, the original was about a 50's New Zealand UFO group comprised of a religious guy, his wife and a teenage temptress who turns up mysteriously ravished by aliens. I thought it was hilarious, and had the basis of a great story. I was half right. At some point I realised it made sense for the main character to be the old man from Dark Weather, and thus it became the DW Special. This story was released inbetween #4 & 5, but it fits pretty much anywhere.
