Jo battles her twin dependancies as she recounts the life and death of her fiery relationship with Nick.
Psychosense creator Mitzy was Joanne's no.1 fan, and he asked me to do a Jo story where she just runs around town being mad and funny. Don't think this is quite what he had in mind. Dark Weather was all done and dusted, or so I thought. Then on the bus home one night I started thinking about what might happen next, and how Jo met Nick, and by the end of the ride I had most of this issue written in my head. I have a theory that if you use the absolute minimum amount of words and pictures necessary to tell a story, then you have the perfect comic. And I think I came pretty close with this story. I was in two minds whether to put it out or not, as #5 was a nice happy ending, and this was just a downbeat epilogue. But I liked the script too much, and I wanted to end Jo's story properly. The title's from a Squeeze song, I just liked the sound of it. The title, that is.
